Finding a Passion
baseball to music to writing
When I was a ten-year-old boy, I found a passion in playing baseball. Then as a teen growing up in the Texas Panhandle, I became the drummer for a garage band called The Avengers. Later we changed the band name to EKOS and recorded a record, that eventually sold maybe 15 copies. No matter the sales, I’m still proud of that record. Music worked out well for my band mate Tommy Shannon, who’s passion has always remained music. He is now in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Later the passion for writing and publishing books came into my life. I believe, be it music or writing, a large part of my joy, and passion, is the process of creating something from nothing. I hope all find passion in something. Go well. David
